The non-partisan General Accounting Office of Congress issued a stunning report in 2003, which suggests that the AMA misled the American people as well as state and federal legislators about the causes and existence of a medical health access crisis. The report stated, “We...determined that many of the reported physician actions and hospital-based service reductions were not substantiated or did not widely affect access to health care”.
